Charlton Road Church has been part of the Kingstanding community for nearly nine decades. From our earliest days, we have sought to love our neighbours, share the gospel, and serve faithfully as an independent evangelical church.
Since 1936, Charlton Road Church has stood at the corner of Charlton Road and Chingford Road, serving the people of Kingstanding. As an independent, evangelical church, we have always aimed to keep the Bible at the heart of our life and ministry while welcoming people from all backgrounds.
Over the years, the church has seen many changes in the local community, yet our commitment to sharing the good news of Jesus has remained the same. In 2026 we celebrate 90 years of God’s faithfulness—ninety years of gathering, worshipping, praying, supporting families, and seeking to bless the neighbourhood we call home.
Our vision is to be a light on a hill in Kingstanding for north Birmingham and beyond. We pursue that vision by glorifying God, growing in Christ, going with the gospel, and giving ourselves in service.
