Supporting Niki and Krista Coulson – The Open Well, South Bank

Niki and Krista Coulson are serving in South Bank, Middlesbrough, through The Open Well, a growing gospel-centred ministry seeking to bring hope, practical support, and the good news of Jesus to one of Teesside’s most deprived communities.

Their heart is to build genuine relationships with local people, walk alongside individuals and families facing difficult circumstances, and create opportunities for people to encounter the Christian faith within their own community.

Medhurst Ministries is partnering with Niki and Krista to strengthen and develop this work for the long term. We are providing mentoring, training, pastoral support, fundraising assistance, and practical help with the structures needed to sustain ministry in a demanding context. Niki is also being supported and trained for future pastoral and church-planting ministry while continuing to serve locally in South Bank.

Our aim is not simply to support another project, but to invest in local people who are committed to staying, serving, and sharing the gospel within the communities they know and love. Through our partnership with Niki, Krista, Tees Valley Community Church and The Open Well, we hope to see a healthy, sustainable gospel witness established in South Bank for many years to come.
